The sweet and simple scallop is fast becoming one of my very favourite designs, as a pattern, product shape and even as a clothing cut too.
So here's a super scalloped mug for this week's pick:
This pleasing cup and saucer set is from Oh No Rachio a Southampton based designer (and ace blogger too).
I very much admire her lovely handmade style and the fact that these scallops aren't just on-the-button-cool, they are also hand-illustrated too. Super special scallops - most pleasing indeed.

The Perfect Tea Towel: Kangan Arora Design
I spotted this week's choice during the (ever fantastic) LDF. These perfect screenprinted tea towels are from Kangan Arora who popped up this year at Design Junction.
This excellent textile designer uses fantastic bright bold colours, taking inspiration for these vibrant print designs from Indian street culture. Including the fresh tones for this lovely Chai Glasses design:

The sweet simple lines on this screenprinted tea towel *almost* make me want to give up my usual cuppa and reach for a chai.

Mondays are for Mugs: Ship & Shape
This week it's a cosy one. This clay mug from Ship & Shape demands to be filled with hot cocoa and cradled to keep chilly hands warm (ideally wearing fingerless gloves obvs).
Now where's my Ovaltine...?
Black & Blue Mark Mug, from Ship & Shape, price $28

The Perfect Tea Towel: Urban Bird Co
It's rather pleasing to have a good vintage slogan on a tea towel.
I may be of the tape generation but this still makes me feel a tiny bit nostalgic. The lovely slightly scratchy sound of a record playing is sure must be one of the nicest things to listen to while drying up? Or even better if you are the one turning the record over.

Mondays are for Mugs: Designers Anonymous
It's no secret that tea is my preferred drink. But I'm pretty open to which accompanying treat to have with it (there's gonna be a treat right?).
Which is why on certain occasions this mug from Designers Anonymous would be very handy indeed...
In my very English way I think I might also like a Please mug to go with it...erm please.
& Cake Mug, from Designers Anonymous, price £8

Mondays are for Mugs: Kin Ship Goods
Sometimes a good strong cup of coffee (or weak tea if you are a caffeine wimp like me) is very necessary to give you a kick up to the bum on a Monday morning.
If you need that early morning prod and inevitable sugar rush then this is surely the mug to get you going...
Time to Get Stuff Done is the slogan I intend to live by every Monday morning. And with this mug from (sweet independent US brand) Kin Ship Goods I'll be all set to get some scalding tea, and probably a biscuit as is our wont in my office, down my gullet and get ready to Do some serious Stuff.

The Perfect Tea Towel: Oelwein
Continuing with this week's autumn/inevitable-upcoming-dire-weather theme...
This week's Perfect Tea Towel does depict a raincloud yes...but it's rather nicely done, so we forgive it for its reminder of miserable weather. The Rain & Cloud Tea Towel was screen-printed in France by designer and artisan Parisian: Oelwein. Who also has lots of other pleasing products available on Etsy too.
So to distract us from thinking about the upcoming wet weather (can you tell I don't like the cold?!) here are some other rather nice Oelwein products:

Mondays are for Mugs: Marimekko
It seems appropriate that this Weather Diary mug is my first mug for autumn. As its thunderstorm colours and cloudy patterns are sure to be replicated in our skies before we know it.
So let's just pop the kettle on, batten down the hatches and appreciate the loveliness of this super mug shall we?
This pleasingly stormy teacup is from the ever chic Finnish brand Marimekko. It is from their (very nice) new Weather Diary collection and features their signature bold graphic designs with the added inspiration of the ever changing patterns of the weather.
